Eva came over to the UK from her native Iceland at the age of 12 when she was offered a place to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey. After graduating from the school, she continued her studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where she settled and began working as a professional musician.

Eva has maintained a varied performance career, winning prizes in multiple international violin competitions, performing concertos throughout Europe and regularly guest-leading Britain’s top orchestras.

 

It was through her work with Aurora Orchestra that she met her partner, Nick, who introduced her to the Chilterns where they now reside. Together, Eva & Nick saw the huge potential for a professional orchestra in their community, resulting in the creation of Echor Music.
